ZMUD

I have tried this client and connected successfully to a MUD through a WinGate mapped link. The procedure is particularly straightforward:

1. Create a mapped link in WinGate. Specify the MUD server as the host and give the port to connect to this server on.

2. Enable the mapped link on a free port in WinGate and set it as either TCP or UDP (both seemed to work, although this may depend on the server).

3. In the MUD client connect to WinGate on whichever port the mapped link is on.

To have the ability to connect to many different servers without having to reconfigure WinGate the following would probably be the simplest method: Choose a block of unused port numbers in WinGate and create a mapped link to each MUD server. Obviously each mapped link should be on a different port number. In the client application, the port number on which you connect to WinGate decides the mapped link that is used

and hence the host (MUD server) that is connected to.
