Removing a scope

When a subnet is no longer in use, or any other time you want to remove an existing scope, you can remove it from the DHCP service. It is recommended that you deactivate a scope till you know that no leases are current before deleting it.

To remove a scope

Note: The scope should be deactivated until you are sure the scope is not in use.

1. On the Scopes list in the DHCP window, select the scope you want to remove.

2. On the Scope menu, click Delete.
