Command line FTP clients

Command line FTP applications work well with WinGate. When you start the FTP session, open the server ’wingate’ then provide your username and servername in the form user@server.name.

Example

FTP> open wingate

Connected to wingate.

220 WinGate Engine FTP Gateway ready

User (WinGate(none)): fred@beast.qbik.com

331 Password Required for fred
