Application Setup

Notes:
In all the following setup notes we refer to
wingate. This is the name in the hosts file or the workstations that you have given
to the WinGate machine. We recommend keeping this name. If you decide to change
the name you can simply substitute the chosen name for wingate through out these instructions.
An alternative to this is referring to the IP address of the WinGate machine.
This IP address is typically 192.168.0.1.
If you setup client apps on the WinGate machine, you are best advised to use
localhost or 127.0.0.1 as the machine name, rather that wingate. This will save you a connection in the user count, as localhost is not
included.
If you are using AutoSOCKS on your workstations, then you do not need to
configure client software for Proxies.
